Infrared Thermal Inspections (ITIs) use thermal technology to identify differences in temperature between gases, solids and liquids. Colder temps appear dark while hotter temps appear either as bright spots (using a monochrome camaera) or range from purple to white (using a color spectrum camera). ITIs are considered the next generation of inspection technology and can help to identify such defects as pooling water behind walls, potential mold growth, nesting pests, and energy loss from improper seals and insulation.
